UN
Environment has announced that Peru will be designated as regional headquarters
in Latin America and the Caribbean for the World Environment Day 2018, to take
place on June 5.
The Minister of the Environment of Peru, Elsa Galarza, ensures that being a regional headquarter allows us to put in the agenda the environmental policies aimed at the reduction of the use of plastic, particularly in the sea, and the care of the natural heritage. It is also important because it reveals the efforts, good practices and campaigns that are being promoted in Peru towards this objective.
