The AgroMinera Convention  that proceeds under the motto “AGRO Y MINERÍA UNIDAS POR NATURALEZA” (Agriculture and Mines, United by Nature) will be held between June 6 and 8, 2018, in the campus of the TECSUP Superior Institute in Trujillo , has as purpose to bring the main actors that generate the economy and employment and that plays a very significant role in placing Peru in the world ranking.

This convention aims to achieve the synergy (cooperation) between agriculture and mines in the same space, promoting the development of the country and incorporating technological innovation.

Moreover, the aforementioned event will be inaugurated by the President of the Republic and the Ministers of Agriculture and Irrigation, as well as Energy and Mines.

La Asociación Internacional de la Alpaca (AIA) organiza “Alpaca Fiesta 2018” el festival alpaquero más importantes a nivel mundial que se organiza cada 4 años en la ciudad de Arequipa y en esta oportunidad se realizará del 22 al 27 de octubre de 2018. Este evento tiene como objetivo difundir y promover la alpaca en el mercado internacional y congregar a los más importantes criadores, investigadores, empresas e instituciones vinculadas al mundo de la alpaca y moda en un ambiente festivo y altamente competitivo. Gastón Acurio, the well-known peruvian chef, presented in Bangkok the most emblematic dishes of Peruvian cuisine for the public during 16 - 19 May. The activity was organized by Mandarin Oriental Hotel of Bangkok with the support of the Embassy of Peru.

On Wednesday 16, there was a special presentation for the press. On Thursday 17, Friday 18, and Saturday 19, Lord Jim’s Hall was filled by the public who enjoyed a special menu prepared by Acurio for this occasion with preeminence of marine products.

Among the public figures who attended this important gastronomic activity were: Don Pramudwinai, Minister of Foreign Affairs and spouse; Grisada Boonrach, Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives; Veerathai Santiprabhob, Governor of the Bank of Thailand; Kalin Sarasin, President of the Thai Chamber of commerce and the Board of Trade of Thailand; Bhurit Bhirombhakdi, CEO of Boon Rawd Brewery; Chumpol Jangprai, famous Thai chef and spouse; Sarun Charoensuwan, Director-General of the Department of America and South Pacific Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and spouse; Prasert Prakoonsuksapan, Former Senator and Former President of the Thailand-Peru Parliamentary Friendship League; the honorary consuls of Peru in Chiang Mai and Khon Kaen; ambassadors and officials of accredited embassies in Bangkok; officials of international organizations; Thai companies; members of the Peruvian community in Thailand, etc.

The presence in Bangkok of the outstanding chef Gastón Acurio has coincided with the public annoucement of a new award for him: "The Dinners Club Lifetime Achievement Award 2018", important global award which annually recognizes the professional path of the most outstanding chefs in the world. This new recognition will be awarded by the World's 50 Best Restaurants group in a special ceremony on June in Bilbao, Spain, occasion in which will also be rewarded the 50 restaurants in the world 2018.

The cultural association “Charlie Quispe & Co” (www.charliequispe.org), based in the city of Cusco, is organizing the 9^th Video Festival “Babel 2018”, with the aim of promoting the animation production, art video and the experimental audiovisual creation in Peru and other countries, while opening the new spaces for exchanging experiences between audiovisual artists of Latin America and others. The Regional Government of San Martin is organizing the "First Festival of Amazonian Gastronomy 2018", take place from May 31 to June 3 in the city of Tarapoto, Peru.

The aforementioned festival aims to encourage private investment in bio-business, tourism and gastronomy opportunities, as well as to promote internal and external gastronomic tourism and to position the Amazonian cuisine as one of the reginal variants of Peruvian gastronomy. On this occasion will participate agricultural producers, native communities, tour operators, schools of gastronomy, gastronomic establishments, among others.
